Shikari started in 1999 in the vein of musical influences such as Mohinder and Union of Uranus. The band, based in Groningen, The Netherlands, were a very important band for European hardcore until 2005, when they split up. In 2009 they get back together in their original line-up, rocking the Cry Me A River Fest.
