art of burning water / nervous mothers  split 7"4.00 €

Creating a union of ferocity sure to see walls tumble and bodies scarred, SuperFire and Vleesklak Records are joint unleashing a Split 7” featuring the raw hardcore animosity of Nervous Mothers and Art Of Burning Water. It is a four track fury taking no prisoners as it rages and abrases the senses. It is also a thoroughly agreeable slab of carnal punk from two bands not too hard to fancy hear plenty more from. AOBWs Rhythms are hypnotic, the guitars toxic, whilst vocals spill rancor with every syllable; a blend which just hits the spot as it nags, intimidates, and stirs up another twang of hunger in the appetite. NM Raging Powerviolence from Antwerp, Belgium

sickmark / constraint  split 7"5.00 €

Constraint hails from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and plays a blistering hybrid of metallic grind-punk that's just plain brutal. These guys construct walls of distortion-soaked riffs, muddy bass noise, blasting drum insanity and roaring vocals. Germany's Sickmark with righteously misanthropic powerviolence in the vein of Iron Lung or Scapegoat.

age of collapse  deteriorate 7"5.00 €

Age of Collapse have crafted a very experimental take on crust; blurring lines and sometimes toppling over into completely different musical realms. Their sound is personified by large, crushing distortion, chaotic tempo changes and haunting, reverb drenched cleans. Fast paced punk inspired riffs meld with harmonizing guitars more traditionally reserved for NWOBHM. Whether it be brutal, passionate or furious, Age of Collapse have carved their own niche and sound into the hardcore genre.

deathgrave / augurs  split 7"5.00 €

Deathgrave is a new project from Amber Asylum bassist Fern and Greg Wilkinson, the master sound engineer behind Oakland's Earhammer Studios and bassist in Brainoil (ex-Graves At Sea, ex-Laudanum) who's stepped away form his recent doom dealings to spit out some truly virulent grind. The tone alone will knock you on your ass, and coupled with Augurs' nasty, sludge-encrusted black grind, this split might just be one of 2015's best underground gems.

thou / great falls  split 7"5.00 €

" Such is my love for this new split, is in no small part due to the inclusion of resident grime throwers Thou in a noise laden duel with Great Falls, covering none other than heavy noise mongers Shellac Kicking off Side A, is ‘Wingwalker’ from the 1993 release Uranus, as performed by Great Falls, and man do they know what’s up! They give a tight performance of this manic track, staying pretty close to the original sound and furious fever of the vocals. It feels a little more pent up and more frustrated than the original tune, but that just adds to the ferocity. They are a bit slicker production wise, but they channel some hellacious energy into this recording. It'll be love at first listen as you stomp new holes in your house or workplace. On to side b, we have a vicious performance of a very vindictive song, ‘A Prayer to God’, by Louisiana sludge trawlers, Thou. First off, I love these guys; second, they make a very angry, personal song even heavier. The original is a prayer to bring ruin and pain to two people in the singer’s life, the second of which he wants to end on a hard note. Thou take that, and make it almost blasphemous in their normal, dirty way. It’s a char-filled fuzz block of a song, and my personal pick of the two on offer. If you wrong someone and they are listening to this song near you: RUN. Splits are a great way to sample bands to see what they are about, what influences them, and how they want to bring their own energy to a project. This record does no less, giving two excellent bands, 7 inches of wax and two choice covers from a legendary band. Find it, buy it, break shit. - sludgelord"

"Tempano delivers another intense banger of crusty HC enriched with some epic and atmospheric Post-Metal/Rock elements. Te:rs from Göttingen mix a very melodic and playful instrumental foundation with harsh screaming and kind of spoken-word-singing. And yes, that reminds sometime of a harder version of La Dispute."

rainmaker / ojne  split 7"5.00 €

Rainmaker are from Sweden and play really badass screamo with a hardcore attitude. The good thing about bands like Øjne is that their sound avalanches without explicitly shouting “AVALANCHE!”. It’s a similar idea to how they can be completely understood despite a language barrier. There is nothing particularly heavy about what they’re playing and yet, it all feels climactic. Their tight rhythm section has a lot to do with this.

"Mrtex has a veteran of Yaphet Kotto, Makara, Jenny Piccolo, and Anasazi and all these shine through. They drop two tracks, one being a perfect combination of swirling emo-violence with the noisy harshness of Makara. Their second track is a gorgeous post-rocky haunted emo-dirge. beau navire / republic of dreams  (black vinyl) split 7"4.00 €

Oakland's BEAU NAVIRE, comprised of members of Loma Prieta and various other Bay Area bands, deliver their best material to date following a slew of releases in only a little over a year and non-stop playing up and down the west coast as well as a european tour. They bring a nervous violence to their heartfelt brand of chaotic hardcore which uniquely plays out in their songwriting. Reminiscent of bands like Neil Perry, Funeral Diner etc. Germany's REPUBLIC OF DREAMS is made up of members of Louise Cyphre and play absolutely frantic, feedback-drenched punk at a nonstop breakneck pace without sacrificing an ounce of melody for the chaos. Fans of Raein and other European screamo bands take note. US tour planned this year.
